Bodywork
Release tension. Restore movement. Allow your body work the way it’s meant to.
At Health + Healing Studios, bodywork is about more than temporary relief. It’s about understanding what’s happening in your body and using the right approach to help it move better, function better, and feel better over time.
Our services each support your body in a different way. Stretch Therapy helps improve flexibility and release tension, Myopractic Therapy focuses on restoring alignment and reducing pain, and NeuroKinetic Therapy (NKT) identifies and corrects the underlying movement patterns that often cause issues to return.
We combine hands-on techniques with a deep understanding of movement and the nervous system to address the root of pain, tightness, and restriction, not just the symptoms. Whether you’re dealing with something specific or just know your body doesn’t feel right, sessions are designed to meet you where you are.
Bodywork can be part of a broader plan alongside functional personal training or a focused way to support your body on its own. Either way, the goal is the same: to help you feel better, move better, and live with more ease in your body.

Stretch Therapy is a pain-free, assisted stretching technique designed to improve flexibility, mobility, and overall function.
At Health + Healing Studios, we use a specialized approach known as Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST), which focuses not just on muscles, but also on the fascia, the connective tissue that surrounds and supports your muscles, joints, and bones. When fascia becomes tight or restricted, it can limit movement and contribute to discomfort throughout the body.
Sessions take place on a treatment table using gentle, guided stretches and stabilization straps to safely isolate specific areas and deepen the stretch. This allows your body to release tension more effectively while staying relaxed and supported.
Instead of forcing a stretch, this approach works with your nervous system, helping your body open up naturally and move with more ease.
What to Expect
Sessions are relaxing, supportive, and tailored to your body.
Your practitioner will guide you through a series of assisted stretches while you remain fully clothed on a treatment table. Straps may be used to stabilize certain areas so the stretch can be more targeted and effective.
Many clients notice improvements in mobility, tension, and overall movement right away, along with a deep sense of relaxation.
What Stretch Therapy Can Help With
Chronic pain, especially in the lower back, hips, shoulders, and neck
Reduced mobility or flexibility due to lifestyle, aging, or injury
Athletic performance and injury prevention
Postural imbalances and alignment issues
Muscle tightness and joint stiffness
Stress relief through gentle, rhythmic movement
Improved circulation and lymphatic flow
Recovery from workouts or physical therapy
Pre- and post-surgical rehab (with provider clearance)

NeuroKinetic Therapy (NKT) is a specialized form of bodywork that helps identify the root cause of pain and movement issues, not just where symptoms show up.
Your body is constantly adapting. When an injury, stress, or repetitive movement pattern occurs, the brain often creates compensations. This means some muscles become overactive while others stop working properly. Over time, these patterns can lead to pain, tightness, or limited mobility.
NKT uses targeted muscle testing to uncover these imbalances and retrain the brain and body to move more efficiently. Instead of chasing symptoms, it focuses on correcting the underlying dysfunction so your body can function the way it was designed to.
What to Expect
Sessions are interactive and focused on how your body is functioning.
Your practitioner will guide you through a series of gentle muscle tests to identify where your body is compensating. From there, they’ll use specific techniques to help reset those patterns and restore proper movement.
Many clients notice changes in pain, stability, or mobility right away, while others see progress over a few sessions as patterns are retrained.
Conditions NKT Can Help With
Joint pain
Neck and back pain
Shoulder or hip discomfort
Gait and movement dysfunction
Pre- and post-surgical recovery
TMJ and jaw tension
Scar-related restrictions
Post-cesarean concerns
Pelvic floor dysfunction
Some vestibular-related issues

Myopractic Therapy is a specialized form of bodywork focused on restoring balance, alignment, and proper movement throughout the body.
At the center of this approach is the understanding that the pelvis is the body’s primary foundation. When it becomes misaligned or restricted, the rest of the body compensates, often leading to tension, poor posture, and pain in areas that may seem unrelated.
Instead of forcing adjustments, Myopractic Therapy works to release tension and restore motion, allowing the body to naturally realign and function the way it’s designed to.
Each session is full-body, using precise, targeted pressure to release restrictions in muscles and connective tissue. This helps reduce pain, improve mobility, and support overall function, whether your discomfort is coming from physical strain, injury, or long-standing patterns.
What to Expect
Sessions are focused, efficient, and results-driven.
Your practitioner will work through the body from head to toe, applying targeted pressure to areas of tension and restriction. While some spots may feel intense, the goal is always to create relief and restore movement.
Your first session is typically 45 minutes, with follow-up sessions around 30 minutes.
Many clients notice improvements in pain, posture, and mobility right away, especially when the body begins to release long-held tension patterns.
What Myopractic Therapy Can Help With
Low back pain, hip pain, and sacrum or tailbone issues
Sciatica and restless legs or feet
Frozen shoulder, rotator cuff issues, and neck stiffness
Chronic migraines and sinus-related tension
Carpal tunnel, tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, and wrist pain
TMJ and trigger finger
Plantar fasciitis, ankle issues, and bunions
Knee discomfort and rib pain
Bladder or kidney-related tension
Pelvic floor concerns and uterine positioning
If your body isn’t feeling right, this is a powerful place to start.

Most sessions are not painful, but you may feel some intensity in areas where your body is tight, restricted, or compensating.
We always work within your comfort level and communicate with you throughout the session. Many clients describe it as a “good” discomfort that leads to relief, improved movement, and less tension afterward.
-
This depends on your body, your goals, and how long the issue has been going on.
Some clients feel noticeable relief after just one session, while others benefit from a series of visits to fully retrain movement patterns and create lasting results.
Your practitioner will talk with you about a plan based on what they find, so you have a clear path forward without feeling locked into anything.

For your session, you’ll remain clothed. It’s best to wear something you can move around well in. Fitness apparel works well. Sports bras are recommended for women.
