Functional Personal Training
Move better. Feel better. Function better in your everyday life.
At Health + Healing Studios, personal training is about more than reps and sets. Our approach to functional personal training is rooted in how your body actually moves, feels, and functions day to day.
We use corrective exercise, mobility work, and strength training to help you build a body that feels better, not just looks better. Instead of pushing through pain or working around limitations, we focus on understanding what’s going on and improving it.
Every session is fully customized to you. And because our trainers are also trained in bodywork, if something feels off or flares up, it can be addressed in real time, not ignored.
The goal is simple: help you move with more ease, build strength with intention, and feel more confident in your body.
How We Train
-
One-on-One Personal Training
One-on-one sessions give you focused attention, a program built specifically for your body, and the flexibility to move at your own pace. This is a strong fit if you are:
New to exercise or getting back into it
Recovering from an injury or managing ongoing pain
Looking for more accountability and guidance
Navigating a busy schedule and need consistency
Wanting dedicated time to focus on your health
-
Small Group Personal Training
Get the benefits of a customized workout in the energy of a small, supportive group. With just 2 to 4 people per session, everyone still receives a program tailored to their individual needs — you are not following a one-size-fits-all class plan. Small group training is a great way to stay motivated, enjoy the camaraderie of like-minded people, and make your wellness practice a little more fun.

FAQs
-
Our approach combines personal training with corrective exercise and an understanding of the body from a bodywork and integrative care perspective.
That means if something feels off, it’s not ignored. You have access to a team and additional services that can help address what’s going on, so your progress doesn’t stall.
-
Yes. Many clients come in dealing with pain, past injuries, or ongoing limitations.
Your sessions are adapted to your body, and the focus is on improving what’s going on, not pushing through it. If needed, your trainer can also coordinate with bodywork or other services in the studio to support recovery and help you progress more effectively.
-
Not at all. Many clients are just getting started or returning after time away.
We meet you where you are and build from there. And if your body needs more support along the way, whether that’s mobility work, recovery, or other services, we help guide you so you feel supported, not overwhelmed.
-
Your first session is focused on understanding your body, your goals, and how you move.
From there, we begin building a plan that supports your needs, with the flexibility to adjust as your body changes and improves.
